Job summary

Brains and Motion Education seeks an energetic After School - Youth Program Instructor to lead STEAM and sports activities, provide homework support, and supervise K–8 students in a safe, engaging setting after school.

You will transport, set up, and clean up daily materials, ensuring a positive, inclusive environment with active participation and structured play.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college semester units (or 2 years of higher education), an associate degree or higher, or proof of meeting ESSA standards via a local assessment test.
• 1–2 years of experience instructing, mentoring, or working with youth in STEM, creative arts, or athletic settings.
• Proven ability to manage groups of K–8 students and foster positive behavior.
• Valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID) and reliable transportation to travel to assigned school locations.
• Ability to pass a mandatory Live Scan / background check process.
• Physical ability to lift and move program materials weighing 20–50 lbs.
• Availability Monday through Friday afternoons between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

• Facilitate dedicated daily homework sessions and assist students with assignments.
• Maintain active supervision, manage group dynamics in grades K–8, and foster a safe, inclusive atmosphere.
