Job summary

SBCS Chula Vista is seeking a School Programs Youth Leader to support the Before and After School program at Hilltop Middle. You will supervise and develop activities for 10-20 youth, focusing on academics, enrichment, and social-emotional well-being after school.

The role requires collaboration with school staff, reliable scheduling, and a commitment to youth development. You will help tracking attendance, provide tutoring, and ensure safe, engaging activities through 6:30 p.m., Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

• Plan and help implement the after-school program goals and activities.
• Oversee participants, provide positive role modeling, and guidance.
• Maintain accurate attendance and participant registration records.
• Recruit and promote the program to school youth and parents.
• Provide tutoring assistance and academic enrichment aligned with school goals.

Education

AA or BA is highly desirable

Passing score on district’s Instructional Assistant Test acceptable

Minimum of one year working with youth

Must be one-year removed from high school graduation

Must be three years removed from SUHSD graduation
