Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County is seeking a Youth Development Professional for part-time work in Temecula, CA. The role centers on keeping youth safe while delivering structured educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities for ages 6 to 14.

You will implement programs, orient members, promote enrichment activities, guide participants, supervise volunteers, and support training tracks while maintaining strong attendance and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in psychology, social work, education, sociology, or a related field preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Establish positive and productive relationships; build trust and provide balanced feedback.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with youth in group settings.

Responsibilities

  • Implement programs and activities according to the club's mission and curriculum.
  • Organize and conduct programs following established guidelines and activities.
  • Orient new members to designated groups as directed.
  • Promote enrichment activities and encourage participation by members.
  • Provide formal and informal guidance to the members.
  • Assist with supervising volunteers.
  • Ensure wellness and safety of all members and maintain equipment.
  • Complete required trainings and attend program sessions.
