Job summary

LINC seeks a Youth Development Professional to support supervision, engagement, and safety of children in before and after school care programs. You will help create a positive, inclusive, and enriching environment through recreational activities, homework support, and social-emotional development opportunities.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining a safe, welcoming setting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with children in school, childcare, camp, or recreation settings preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Background checks must be successfully completed.

Responsibilities

Supervise the safety and well-being of children during program hours.
Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate activities (arts, crafts, games, sports, education).
Support students with homework and academic enrichment activities.
Maintain positive behavior and encourage respectful interactions among participants.
Assist with attendance, snack distribution, and program setup/cleanup.
Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and school staff as needed.
Follow program policies, safety procedures, and supervision guidelines.
Report incidents or concerns to the Program Director or Site Coordinator.
Help maintain a clean, welcoming program environment.
