Job summary

The City of Monona is seeking a Youth Program Facilitator to plan, coordinate, and lead indoor and outdoor activities for K-5th students in afterschool and recreation programs. You will supervise groups, ensure safety, and provide accommodations for children with disabilities.

This school-year position offers flexible hours up to 30 per week, Monday through Friday, 1:45pm-5:45pm, with schedule adjustments to fit school calendars.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Red Cross First Aid/ CPR/AED certification (or within 3 months).
• Experience with school-age children and leading recreation activities is a plus.
• Ability to work 4–8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead indoor and outdoor activities for K–5 students.
• Supervise groups to promote socialization, participation, and safety.
• Provide accommodations for children with disabilities and collaborate with staff.
• Maintain daily attendance records and communicate with families.
• Inspect facilities and equipment and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Participate in staff development and meetings as required.
