Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is seeking an After School Tutor to provide targeted academic support in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, or World Languages after the regular day. Tutors report to the Building Principal or Designee and work in Proviso Math & Science Academy classrooms or tutoring spaces.

Stipends are defined by the union agreement and paid hourly as extra duty. Work schedule is Monday through Thursday with up to four hours per week; candidates must hold a valid

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License in one of the core content areas (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) or World Language.
• Experience tutoring students in a one-on-one or small group setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to students in the After School Tutoring Program.
• Collaborate with colleagues regarding student assignments.
• Maintain accurate records, including student attendance logs.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Building Principal.
