Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is seeking an instructional aide for after-school programs. The pay rate is $23-$25 per hour, with 20–30 hours per week, depending on location and need, and up to 15 paid holidays per year.

A $200 signing bonus is offered after 90 days of successful continuous employment. The role emphasizes leading enrichment activities, building relationships with students, and collaborating with staff and families to support student success.

Qualificações

• Associate degree or higher, 48 college units, or pass Instructional Aide exam required.
• Background check and TB clearance required.
• Able to work after-school hours and commit through mid-June, with potential summer/intersession work.
• Experience with kids and ability to supervise up to 22 students while leading activities.
• Ability to communicate professionally and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Basic technology skills (Word, Email, Workday, Google Drive, etc.)
• Completion of mandated trainings upon hire.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• English communication with students and families; basic reading proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate engaging academic, enrichment, recreation, and social-emotional learning activities for K–12 students.
• Build positive relationships that foster student belonging, confidence, and engagement.
• Support student behavior using restorative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices.
• Provide homework assistance and adapt activities to diverse learning needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment for students from all backgrounds.
• Supervise groups of up to 22 youth during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Collaborate with program staff, school personnel, and families to support student success.
• Maintain attendance, incident reports, and program documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings, PD, coaching, and trainings.
• Represent BACR professionally in communication and conduct.
