Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking an CHS After School Technical Director for Chelmsford High School. The role involves educating, supervising and managing students in sound, lighting, scenic, costumes and properties for theatre productions.

The Tech Director oversees all technical aspects of the theatre during theatre guild use, ensures care of equipment, and trains users in lighting and sound operation, coordinating with CPS Tech Director Tom Peterson.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Educate, supervise and manage students across most areas of technical design including sound, lighting, scenic, costumes and properties.
• Oversee all technical aspects of the theatre while in use by the theatre guild.
• Ensure proper use and care of equipment and the facility by training users in the operation of theatrical lighting and sound.
• Maintain the care and suggest repair of facility and equipment in the space.
