Job summary

Kïdo International Preschool is seeking a part-time after-school teacher in Austin, TX. You’ll support Kindergarten through 5th grade students during the school year, Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with options for additional hours for those interested.

You will help create a safe, welcoming after-school environment where children build friendships, complete homework, and enjoy meaningful activities after school.

Qualifications

• Experience – Previous experience working with children in a school, after-school program, camp, or licensed childcare setting preferred.
• Energy & Enthusiasm – A genuine passion for working with elementary-aged children in an active, engaging environment.
• Team Player – Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Education – CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred.
• Certifications – CPR & First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Listen – Build positive relationships with children, understand their interests and needs, and create an inclusive environment where every child feels seen and supported.
• Learn – Help children with homework, encourage curiosity, and support their social, emotional, and developmental growth through hands‑on experiences and play.
• Lead – Guide engaging activities, creative projects, games, outdoor play, and enrichment experiences that encourage teamwork, confidence, and independence.
