Job summary

Queen Creek Unified School District is seeking an enthusiastic Student Worker for Community Education. The role supports daily school-year activities, with afternoon hours 2:30 pm–6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, 17.5 hours weekly, and part-time terms (181 days/9 months).

Responsibilities include assisting staff, building rapport with students and families, and adhering to district policies. Requires English proficiency, reliability, and ability to lift up to 25 lbs; CPR/First Aid may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with parents, staff and students.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Current QCUSD High School Student preferred.
• Knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations and rules.
• Excellent customer service and reliability.
• For those 18+: Background clearance and Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., exert 25-30 lbs. of force frequently.
• Ability to walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, and to sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintain good rapport with students, employees and families.
• Learns all essential skills within a reasonable time span.
• Assists Site Lead and Site Aides with necessary tasks.
• Be willing to take initiative.
• Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
