Job summary

Launch Math + Science Centers is seeking part-time instructors to deliver STEM and math tutoring in Manhattan learning centers, students' homes, or virtually. Instructors lead project-based enrichment classes and private or group sessions, using Launch-provided materials.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality instruction, engaging students, building confidence, and coordinating with program coordinators. A flexible schedule and passion for teaching children are required.

Qualifications

• STEM classes require subject matter expertise in related sciences, tech, or math.
• Math tutoring requires proficiency through Algebra; Precalculus is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide top quality instruction utilizing Launch methods, curriculum, and materials.
• Enthusiastically engage students during instructional sessions.
• Help students gain confidence in their ability to learn and succeed.
• Constantly assess and consider ways to improve classroom experience.
• Maintain regular communications with the Launch Program Coordinators.
