Job summary

Mad Science Group is seeking a part-time facilitator for an after-school science enrichment program in Pleasanton, CA. Each session runs one hour weekly for 8–10 weeks using a pre-set curriculum. You will deliver engaging, high-energy activities designed to educate and entertain elementary-age children.

Training is provided; fingerprinting is required, and availability must include at least two weekday afternoons. The role offers rewarding, schedule-friendly work aligned with school calendars.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of elementary-age children (4–12).
• Available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Reliable transportation (not public or ride-share).
• All employees must be fingerprinted for background checks.
• Some college education.
• Fun and outgoing personality required.

• Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets for one hour each week for 8-10 weeks.
• Enjoy teaching young children the art of science!
• Occasional daytime programming if your availability allows

We train you in the curriculum and provide all materials. Mad Science classes follow the school calendar and are presented year-round. This is part-time and rewarding work if it fits with your schedule and lifestyle. $50 per class conducted
