Job summary

Mad Science seeks a part-time instructor to lead one-hour after-school science enrichment sessions for elementary students (ages 4-12) in California. Each week, you’ll deliver a lively, hands-on class using a pre-set curriculum and hands-on activities. Training and materials are provided; fingerprint background checks are required. Availability on at least two weekdays after 2 p.m. preferred.

Pay is $50 per class conducted, with 8-10 week programs; occasional daytime sessions may occur.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary-age children (4-12) preferred.
• Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Fingerprint background check required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training; provide engaging classroom leadership.

• Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets for one hour each week for 8-10 weeks.
• Enjoy teaching young children the art of science!
• Occasional daytime programming if your availability allows

Qualifications:

• Some experience working with groups of elementary-age (4-12) children (preferred).
• Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Must have a reliable transportation that is not public or ride share
• All employees will be fingerprinted for criminal background checks(required)

We train you in the curriculum and provide all materials. Mad Science classes follow the school calendar and are presented year-round. This is part-time and rewarding work if it fits with your schedule and lifestyle.
