Job summary

Elevo Learning seeks an engaging After School Sports Coach to lead daily practices for grades 3–8, teaching core sports skills and promoting teamwork and SEL. The role involves planning, supervising games, and communicating with parents to track progress.

You will mentor students, manage up to 20 participants, and adapt activities as plans shift, all while upholding safety and inclusivity standards in a school-based setting.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching youth sports or working with students in an athletic context.
• Strong knowledge of soccer, basketball and flag football.
• Proven ability to mentor and promote social-emotional growth in students.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct daily sports practices for students in grades 3–8.
• Teach and reinforce sports skills in traditional and non-traditional games.
• Foster teamwork, cooperation, and positive sportsmanship.
• Prepare students for competitive games focusing on skill development and strategy.
• Organize and oversee competitions ensuring inclusive participation.
• Promote social-emotional growth through confidence-building and communication activities.
• Monitor student well-being and provide guidance on and off the field.
• Communicate practice schedules, games, and student progress with parents and staff.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
