Job summary

YMCA is seeking an After School Site Coordinator in Walker County, Georgia. This role provides direction for the program and classrooms and implements program curriculum aligned with YMCA values.

The position supports quality experiences for children and their families and fosters honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. The Site Coordinator works 1:45pm-6pm, Monday through Friday, when school is in session.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of college preferred.
• Prior experience working with children in a developmental setting & with diverse populations preferred.

• Design and implement daily lesson/activity plans within established guidelines.
• Supervise children, classroom, and all activities.
• Conduct parent conferences and maintain positive relationships.
• Maintain required program records.
• Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.

RESPONISBILITIES:

• Design and implement daily lesson/activity plans within established guidelines.
• Supervise children, classroom, and all activities.

• Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of college preferred.
• Due to regulations, must be 21 years of age or older
• Prior experience working with children in a developmental setting & with diverse populations preferred.
• Ability to lead and participate in activities in both indoor and outdoor settings, at various temperatures.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch and lift (up to 50 pounds)
