Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund is seeking a Recreation Coordinator (Lighthouse) in Long Island City, NY to oversee the After School Recreation Program at the Lighthouse family shelter. You will plan activities, maintain records, and coordinate safety and field trips.

Requirements include a high school diploma and two years in a recreational or educational setting, plus strong organizational and communication skills. Salary ranges from $40,000 to $45,000 annually.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience in a recreational or educational setting.
• Knowledge of office systems; Microsoft Office.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and teambuilding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate program activities.
• Maintain attendance, registrations, profiles, field trips, calendars, and records.
• Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Organize field trips and camping outings for participants.
• Support program mission with planning goals and action plans.
• Assist with grant writings and donations when needed.
• Supervise staff and collaborate with families and community partners.
• Complete CARES incident reports as needed.
