Qualifications

• Education: Highly qualified per HDT grant and board policies; Associate degree or higher or paraprofessional assessment.
• Experience: Prior work with children in educational settings preferred.
• Interpersonal Skills: Works well with others and maintains confidentiality.
• Language Skills: Fluent English speech and writing; ability to present and respond to questions.
• Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Other Skills: Communicate with students, teachers, parents and community; exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Attend paid training aligned with program schedule.
• Use routines and lesson structures to maximize learning.
• Provide reading instruction to students in groups of 2 using district curriculum.
• Deliver writing instruction using IES Practice Guide strategies for groups of 2.
• Monitor attendance and student progress; report to supervisor.
