Job summary

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking an After School Assistant for Mt. Airy School in Cincinnati to support our childcare programs after school hours.

The role involves leading activities, homework assistance, and enrichment opportunities to create a safe, engaging environment for students from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, starting in August. You will work directly with children, encourage positive behavior, and build strong relationships with students and families

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interest in working with children and supporting youth development.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create a positive and supportive environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision of children while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
• Lead activities and support homework and enrichment opportunities.
• Encourage positive behavior and build relationships with students and families.
• Assist with planning age-appropriate activities and maintain an organized space.
• Collaborate with families and school staff; attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Maintain attendance records and required documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and licensing requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
