Job summary

JCPRD in Johnson County, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated program supervisor for the Before and After School enrichment program in an elementary setting. You will screen, hire, train, and develop staff, purchase supplies within budget, and safeguard each child's health and welfare.

Plan daily lessons, ensure KDHE requirements, schedule field trips, and communicate effectively with children, parents, and school administration.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with school age children in an organized setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and supervisory skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or required in Education, Physical Education, Administration of Parks and Recreation, Early Childhood, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Daily care and administration of children in Before and After school enrichment program; supervise staff.
• Plan daily lessons and ensure KDHE requirements; schedule off-site field trips.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, administration, and co-workers; provide excellent customer service.
• Enroll and attend 16 hours of off-site in-service annually; learn and enforce JCPRD guidelines.
