Job summary

Convent & Stuart Hall in San Francisco is seeking a Part-Time After School Program Staff member to support the after-school program at the Broadway Campus. You will supervise and engage students, assist with homework, coordinate with staff and parents, and help maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment. Hours are Mon-Thu 2:30-6:00 p.m.

and Fri 2:00-6:00 p.m. when school is in session. The role requires strong communication, patience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks; experience

  • Must be available (when school is in session)

  • Various full-day camps as needed throughout the year.

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of after-school activities, ensuring they align with the program's objectives and educational goals.
  • Supervise and engage students in various activities, including sports, arts and crafts, homework assistance, and other recreational activities.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators, other staff members, or members of the community to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and personal growth.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students, promoting positive behavior and resolving conflicts when necessary.
  • Provide homework assistance and academic support to students, helping them develop effective study habits and organizational skills.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or achievements.
  • Ensure the proper care and maintenance of program facilities, equipment, and materials used by students.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
  • Adhere to all program policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being and security of all participants.

We are seeking excellent candidates for the role of After School Staff :

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time After School Program Staff Member. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the successful implementation and operation of our after-school program. You will work closely with students, parents, and fellow staff members to provide a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children during their after-school hours. This is a part-time position with anticipated hours, Monday-Thursday: 2:30-6 p.m. and Friday: 2:00-6 p.m. when school is in session.
