Job summary

Harlandale Independent School District | ACE Site Specialist is an internal role supporting the 21st Century ACE program. The site specialist coordinates after-school activities, engages families, and supervises campus staff to improve attendance and student outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant Bachelor's degree, have experience with youth programs, strong communication skills, and a valid Texas driver’s licence. Position is full-time and grant-funded.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Development & Family Studies, Social Work, or related field.
• Knowledge of after school or youth programs.
• Experience in working with youth in an education, group, or camp setting.
• Experience with at-risk populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer and technology skills.
• Possess a valid Texas Driver’s Licence with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate after school center level activities.
• Engage families via calls, conferences, and collaboration with student support staff.
• Create activities that support student academic achievement.
• Coordinate with district staff to implement literacy programming.
• Meet contract obligations by enrolling qualified participants on schedule.
• Collaborate with campus leadership to target ACE participants and provide orientation.
• Monitor attendance and participate in professional development activities.
• Manage data collection and TEAL database records for participants.
• Oversee a campus team of five to ten staff and ensure proper documentation.
