Job summary

The Salvation Army in Spring Valley, NY is seeking an After School Program Assistant Director to support the Program Director in creating a caring, safe environment for students and families. This role helps in planning activities, maintaining licensing readiness, and leading in the director's absence.

Responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers, enforcing KeepSAfe policies, developing curriculum, ensuring health and safety, and maintaining records while collaborating with parents

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children; classroom teaching preferred.
• Must understand The Salvation Army mission.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/French preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Serve as After School Program Director in the absence of the Director.
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and student attendance.
• Enforce licensing requirements and Keep Safe policies.
• Develop and implement curriculum and activities.
