Job summary

YMCA of Columbia Willamette is seeking an After School Enrichment Team member to provide safe, engaging activities after school and implement a variety of enrichment classes.

You will build rapport with parents, be a positive youth mentor, and coordinate with volunteers while ensuring safety and compliance during program hours.

Qualifications

• Must pass YMCA background check.
• Availability Mon-Thursday 2:30–5:30 pm.
• Current CPR/AED & First Aid Certification or obtain within 90 days.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
• Good observation and safety management skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe learning environment for kids and families.
• Implement curriculum for enrichment classes.
• Establish rapport with parents and participants.
• Be a positive role model for youth in the program.
• Collaborate with volunteers to lead activities.
• Transport equipment to and from school sites.

Requirements

• Must pass YMCA background check
• Availability Mon-Thursday between 2:30-5:30pm
• Possess (or obtain within 90 days) a current CPR/AED & First Aid Certification
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting
• Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
• Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate management techniques
• Must have reliable transportation
