Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is hiring an After School Program Aide to support and supervise students in grades K–8 in a structured after‑school environment. You will follow a preset schedule, prepare materials for activities, and maintain a safe, welcoming space for students.

Responsibilities include supervising safety and behavior, assisting with homework, coordinating with staff, and reporting incidents to the program administrator.

Qualifications

• Must be able to interact positively with students, parents, teachers and administrators.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience working with children is a value add.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
• Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and execute scheduled activities under the direction of the LKC Lead.
• Supervise students to ensure their safety and promote positive behavior.
• Monitor students during outdoor activities on swings and play structures.
• Oversee students during meal/snack breaks.
• Supervise students during quiet homework time and provide homework assistance as needed.
• Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner.
• Enforce program rules and promptly address behavior concerns.
• Monitor and report any incidents involving students to the LKC Program Administrator.
• Stand and walk throughout the entire program duration, including outdoor rotations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of activity areas.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
