Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking School-Age Childcare Staff for the After School Program at George G. Grant Elementary School in Tuxedo Park, NY. This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar and offers an employer-sponsored childcare benefit for dependents of staff.

Work hours are 2:45–5:45 pm on days when school is in session, with duties including supervising children, leading activities, and ensuring safety. Prior experience with children or education majors is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or you have at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Health clearance including TB screening is required.
• Must show a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, arts, and homework support.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model.
• Monitor state guidelines and program policies in daily operations.
• Assist with attendance, registration, and staffing as needed.
