Diocese of Joliet Catholic Schools is seeking a part-time After School Care Program Assistant for St. James the Apostle Catholic School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Position available August 2026; duties include ensuring safety, signing in/out, planning activities.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, must be at least 16, background check and 'Protecting God's Children' certificate; schedule Tue/Thu 2:30-6:00 and Mon-Fri 2:30-4:30; hourly range $15.00-$18.00; final rate based on experience.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
• Protecting God's Children Certificate and Background Check required.
• Childcare experience with children of all ages is a plus but not required.
• Other training may be required after employment begins.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all children in the program.
• Sign children in and out at arrival and departure.
• Create an enriching, fun, and safe environment.
• Plan activities for children of all ages.
• Interact positively with children and families.
