Position Summary:
Queens Community House seeks an experienced educational leader to serve as a Multi-Site Supervisor overseeing K–8 afterschool programs at school and community-based sites across Queens. This role is ideal for a current or former school administrator, instructional coach, or youth program leader who is passionate about advancing educational outcomes beyond the classroom.
As a key member of the Youth Services leadership team, you will directly supervise a cohort of Program Directors and ensure each site implements high-quality, developmentally appropriate programming aligned with citywide standards, school-day curricula, and QCH’s mission. You’ll collaborate closely with school leaders, funders, and internal departments to provide robust learning environments that support academic growth, social-emotional development, and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, coach, and support Program Directors and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong instructional leadership
Align afterschool program goals and strategies with Department of Education (DOE) and DYCD priorities, and QCH's mission and youth development framework
Partner with school administrators and teachers to ensure programming complements the school day, supports academic outcomes, and meets students’ holistic needs
Oversee day-to-day operations at assigned sites, including safety, attendance, compliance, incident response, and documentation
Lead staff professional development, conduct site visits, and assess program quality using internal and external evaluation tools
Ensure full compliance with NYS School Age Child Care (SACC) regulations, DOE, DYCD, and other contract and regulatory requirements
Guide budget planning and track expenditures in collaboration with Program Directors
Develop positive relationships with parents and community stakeholders to promote program visibility and family engagement
Contribute to agency-wide planning, leadership initiatives, and strategic goals
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field
At least 18 credit hours in Education or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in youth development or education
Minimum 3 years of experience in program leadership, school administration, or multi-site supervision
Familiarity with DOE, DYCD (COMPASS/SONYC), and SACC regulations and procedures
Strong organizational, communication, and instructional leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to coach staff and manage teams in dynamic settings
Cultural competence and a commitment to equity in education
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Education, School Leadership, Social Work, or related field
NYS OCFS SACC Director Credential (or ability to obtain)
Experience in instructional coaching or leading school-based afterschool programs
