Job summary

St. Mark’s Episcopal School in Houston’s West University area seeks a part-time After School Staff to mentor and supervise students after dismissal, lead activities, and ensure safety in aftercare, clubs and camp programming.

The role runs 2:30 pm–6:00 pm Monday through Friday, with potential additional hours during camps. Candidates should be at least 18, have experience with children, and show willingness to participate in activities, check in/out students, manage behavior, and support

Qualifications

• 18+ years old.
• Experience with children.
• At least one year of work, volunteer, or organization participation experience.
• Education background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 10-20 students with a co-teacher.
• Interact with students, lead games, and supervise during activities.
• Prepare snacks and activities prior to aftercare.
• Check in/out students and monitor allergies and medical information.
• Support homework and reading time and maintain a safe environment.
• Follow school rules and reset spaces at departure.
• Provide social-emotional support and behavior guidance.
• Report concerns to Extended Care leadership.
