Job summary

Prospect Schools is seeking a Leadership Enrichment Instructor for after-school programming in Brooklyn. You will lead Speech & Debate, Student Ambassadors, and SABLE sessions to build leadership, voice, and identity in a diverse student body.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and group facilitation, with flexibility for late-afternoon hours and background checks. This role supports a student-centered, culturally responsive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work late afternoons and/or evenings.
• Experience in one or more music/band disciplines and working with youth.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and group facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure safety, well-being, and engagement of up to 15 students after school.
• Plan and facilitate engaging lessons and enrichment activities for diverse learners.
• Establish objectives, monitor progress, and support skill development through projects.
• Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
• Prepare classrooms and materials, maintain attendance, and assist with setup/cleanup.
• Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures as needed.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust activities for outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the After-School Program Director.
