Child Development Schools is seeking an After School Lead Teacher in Virginia Beach, VA. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain a safe classroom, and monitor each child’s development while communicating with families.

The role emphasizes nurturing, growth, and teamwork within a collaborative teaching environment. The position requires an Associates or higher in Early Childhood Education, strong communication skills, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• At least 18 years old.
• Background check required.
• Completion of 12 hours childcare training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Keep the classroom safe, organized, and compliant with licensing and ratio requirements.
• Observe and document each child's development and share progress with families regularly.
• Build relationships with parents through daily communication and scheduled conferences.
• Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and assessments.
