EDMO is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant in Kelseyville, CA to support after-school and summer programs. You will lead STEAM and SEL activities, keep the room organized and safe, track attendance and supplies, and provide day-end updates to families.

Ideal candidates bring experience with kids in any setting, strong classroom management, and a willingness to learn SEL/STEAM. Must be 18+, have a HS diploma or higher, and pass Livescan and TB clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with kids in any setting (job, babysitting, tutoring, coaching, camp) welcomed.
• Ability to hold a group’s attention and gently redirect when necessary.
• Creative, patient, and positive, even on chaotic days.
• Knowledge of SEL and STEAM or willingness to learn.
• Reliable and punctual presence with the children.

Responsabilités

• Lead STEAM and SEL activities that engage kids in building and collaboration.
• Manage the room with patience and redirect as needed.
• Share day updates with parents in a friendly, timely manner.
• Maintain attendance, supervise supplies, and keep space safe and clean.
• Participate in training and bring ideas to improve daily activities.
• Support day-to-day operations as needed.

$20.00 to $24.00/hr. Part time, up to 25 hours a week, hours that can work around school or another job.

No resume required; no formal childcare job experience needed.

The Essentials

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Instructional Assistant exam, or an AA, BA, or 48 college units (waives the exam)

• Able to stand, walk, and stay actively engaged with kids indoors and outdoors, including lifting up to 50 lbs
