Responsibilities

  • Ensures that a child’s physical, emotional, and educational needs are met through supervision, one-on-one interactions with individual children, and communication with parents and staff.
  • Writes and implements daily/weekly plan for children in the classroom.
  • Maintains classroom records and documentation, keeping them current and organized.
  • Ensures licensing, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained in the classroom.
  • Provides leadership by modeling professionalism and guiding assistant staff in daily operations.

Child Development staff work with children up to 5 years of age providing them with services which focus on social, emotional, cognitive, and motor development while integrating life-skills into our daily activities and lessons. 5-Star accredited facility offers an amazing team focused atmosphere where you are able to learn and grow while making an impact in the lives of young students. Eliada Child Development staff qualify for tuition assistance through T.E.A.C.H., and supplemental wages through WAGE$.

Education

The Early Childhood Education After School Group Leads are tasked with the safety and supervision of school age students while creating an exciting recreational, educational, and social schedule for campers to enjoy each day!

What you'll be doing
  • Ensures that a child’s physical, emotional, and educational needs are met through visual supervision and observation of the group; one‑on‑one interactions with individual children; regular communication with parents, caregivers and other staff; and working with parents and support agencies to devise individual education plans for children with special needs.
  • Writes and implements daily/weekly plan for children in the classroom.
  • Ensures that necessary classroom records and documentation are kept current, organized, on file, and posted.
  • Ensures, through communication with administrative staff, that licensing, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained in the classroom.
  • Provides leadership by acting as a positive role model for assistant group leader and creates professional climate for carrying out the daily operations of the classroom.
Requirements

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age; at least one year of experience in a licensed school-age program/camp setting is preferred.
