Job summary

Lemon Grove School District is seeking Classified Substitutes for the Expanded Learning Program (before and after school) at district sites in Lemon Grove, California. The substitute will supervise students, assist with enrichment activities, and help maintain a safe, supportive learning environment under the ELP Site Leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Paid or volunteer experience with school aged students preferably in school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during scheduled time and provide a safe and positive learning environment.
• Prepare materials and supplies for daily program activities.
• Monitor groups of students in assigned areas to prevent conflicts and ensure safety.
• Assist with coordination and planning of age-appropriate academic and enrichment activities; reinforce learning concepts.
• Lead and supervise groups of students in indoor and outdoor activities including arts, STEM, and health & wellness.
• Assist students with homework assignments and explain questions as needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
