Job summary

Mission Neighborhood Centers, Inc. seeks a dedicated Youth Services professional for the Precita Campus to design culturally relevant enrichment curricula and supervise after-school and summer activities for youth ages 8–17.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed and harm-reduction practices, strong coordination with partners, and leadership development for interns and volunteers. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• AS Degree with an emphasis in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field; must be enrolled in college education working towards a BA degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field, with a current official transcript on file; ECE/CDEV or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Create enrichment curriculum and program designs focused on goals with 8-week cycles.
• Coordinate on-site daily activities including cultural enrichment, academic support, college & career exploration, health & fitness, social justice, youth leadership, and vocational training.
• Plan and implement project-based learning and experiential outings to enhance participant learning.
• Provide orientation, supervise, and develop youth, interns, volunteers, and youth workers at the Precita campus after school and summer program.
