Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Donna, TX seeks an After School Enrichment Specialist to support priority students with after school academic and college/career readiness activities. You will work with campus principals and the After School Coordinator to ensure programs align with school priorities and serve groups of 12–18 students.

This part-time role pays $14.00 per hour and includes dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance, parenting benefits and vacation time.

Qualifications

• Current college enrollment or professional certification in the subject taught.
• Experience working with youth in classroom or school settings.
• Must attach official or unofficial transcript to verify GPA and credits.

Responsibilities

• Implement a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Help shape and develop a school-wide culture that fosters a productive learning environment.
• Establish and maintain relationships with students and families based on trust.
• Provide enrichment and recreation leadership for program students.
• Facilitate enrichment/recreational activities for groups of 12–18 students.
• Assist in developing students' cognitive capacity and academic skills.
• Foster self-esteem and motivation through positive interaction.
• Report to Site Coordinator and collaborate with Project Director on design/evaluation.
