Job summary

HOKALI runs after-school programs inside public schools in Mt. Diablo Unified. We're hiring After Care Educators to lead kids from TK to 8th grade every afternoon: games, homework help, outdoor play and snack time, in a safe space where every kid feels seen.

You'll work weekday afternoons for the full 2026-27 school year, earning $24/hour as a part-time HOKALI employee. Training includes Concussion, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR; LiveScan fingerprinting and a TB test follow the offer.

Qualifications

• You've led a group of kids before: a camp, a sports team, a classroom, a youth group or a class you taught
• You can work every weekday afternoon for the full 2026-27 school year
• You’re 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Before your first day: 3 hours of online training (Concussion, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR)
• After an offer: LiveScan fingerprinting and a TB test, as the district requires

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of kids from the bell until pickup
• Run games and activities (lesson plans provided, your ideas welcome)
• Help with homework
• Keep every kid safe and guide behavior with positive reinforcement
• Keep attendance and incident records
