Job summary

An educational enrichment organization in California is seeking an enthusiastic After Care Educator to supervise elementary students after school. This role involves planning engaging activities, assisting with homework, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the students. Ideal candidates should be 18+ and possess strong communication skills. Opportunities for professional growth are available. Pay is between $20-$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Ability and willingness to complete 6 hours of online training prior to the start date (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR).

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Plan and lead engaging activities for students of 3rd to 6th grade.
• Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed.
• Facilitate positive social interactions among students and encourage teamwork.
• Manage student behavior effectively using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and parent communications.
• Organize and oversee snack time, ensuring appropriate refreshments.
• Coordinate outdoor play and ensure a safe environment.
• Prepare and organize activity materials.
• Be adaptable and flexible to meet the evolving needs of the program.
