Job summary

My Little Team Texas in San Antonio, TX is seeking an after school teacher / tutor to join our team of 15. The role involves supervising children, planning activities, and supporting learning in a safe, nurturing environment from 3 to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, with holiday sessions.

The ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable, with an associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field and familiarity with CACFP reporting. CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field (pursuing acceptable).
• 2 years of experience in child care or working with young children in a preschool or afterschool setting.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• Background checks and clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during after-school hours (Mon-Fri 3-6 pm) and holidays.
• Plan engaging activities that support learning and development.
• Teach social skills, emotional regulation, and basic academics through play.
• Communicate with parents about progress and events.
• Maintain attendance, behavior records, and CACFP reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a supportive environment.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to improve teaching practices.
