Job summary

The Harpeth Hall School seeks a student-centered, creative dance educator who is enthusiastic about working with young dancers of all ability levels and committed to innovative pedagogy and choreography as part of our after school dance company program. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30-6:30 p.m., days and hours dependent on classes taught.

• Demonstrated experience teaching dance and/or choreographing for school-age students in a studio, school, company, or comparable setting.
• Strong experience in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, and/or hip hop.
• Ability to create engaging choreography and provide student-centered instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead rehearsals for grades 5–12 in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, and/or hip hop.
• Create and teach engaging, age-appropriate choreography.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and collaborative learning environment.
• Prepare students for and participate in the annual spring dance concert.
