Job summary

Maryvale Elementary School is seeking an energetic, creative After-School Dance Club Teacher to lead a dance enrichment program for elementary students. The program provides a fun, supportive environment where students explore various styles and learn the history and culture behind each style.

The instructor will teach age-appropriate dance fundamentals and choreography, helping students understand why movements matter. Expect performance preparation throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school aged youth/children (ages 6-12).
• Experience teaching dance to children in elementary or youth settings or other age groups.
• Proficient Knowledge of multiple dance styles and age-appropriate choreography.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging dance lessons for students in grades 2–5.
• Teach a variety of dance styles (Cheer, Pom, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, cultural dances, line dancing).
• Differentiate instruction to meet students' varying skill levels.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment encouraging teamwork and confidence.
• Coordinate performances and community engagements.”
• Develop weekly lesson plans and maintain attendance records.
