Jovie of Michigan & Pittsburgh is seeking an enthusiastic After School Program Instructor to engage school-aged children in a fun, structured after-school environment in Redford and Centerline, MI. Qualifications

Experience working with school-aged children in a classroom, childcare, after-school, camp, or similar setting.
Strong classroom management and behavior-management skills.
Creative, energetic, patient, and dependable personality.
Ability to lead group activities and keep children engaged.
Crochet skills are highly preferred; ability to crochet and teach basic crochet techniques.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage school-aged children during after-school hours.
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, arts and crafts, and creative projects.
Create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all students.
Provide guidance and encouragement while helping students develop social and creative skills.
Maintain appropriate classroom management and establish clear expectations for student behavior.
Assist with transitions and maintain a safe, organized activity space.
Encourage student participation and adapt activities to different interests and skill levels.
Communicate professionally with program staff, students, and families as needed.
