Job summary

Workstream is hiring an After School Counselor for the Walker County area in Georgia. The role focuses on engaging K-5th graders after school with activities and lessons that support growth and learning.

Shifts run Monday through Friday from 2pm to 6pm, aligning with school days in Walker County. The counselor will design and implement plans, supervise children, and uphold safety while building positive relationships with diverse youth populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of college preferred.
• Prior experience working with children in developmental settings is a plus.
• Ability to supervise groups and maintain a safe environment.

As an After School Counselor, you will play and laugh with K-5th graders, as you implement activities and lessons that help them thrive. Shifts for this job are after school every Monday through Friday from 2pm-6pm, each day school is in session.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of college preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience working with children in a developmental setting & with diverse populations preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lead and participate in activities in both indoor and outdoor settings, in various temperatures.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch, see, hear, listen and lift (up to 50 pounds).
