Maret School seeks passionate After School Counselors to provide a safe, nurturing environment for kindergartners through eighth graders. The role supports homework time, study hall, and enrichment activities before dismissal, with care during events and holidays.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1 year of teaching-related experience, and CPR/First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain them. Schedule includes weekdays with some afternoons extended into early evenings.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent required.
• Teaching experience: 1 year required.
• Certifications in CPR and First Aid or ability to obtain them.
• Pass pre-employment background check and attend youth development training.

Responsabilités

• Help maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Oversee students during outdoor playtime, enrichment activities, and study hall sessions.
• Collaborate with Maret faculty and other After School Counselors to promote well-being.
• Engage with students through art activities, games, and enrichment exercises.
• Model self-confidence and a positive self-image for each student.
• Attend daily meetings before the start of After School.
• Assist in accurate reporting of attendance, inventory, and incidents.
• Provide childcare for evening events and Gap Camp during school holidays.
