Job summary

Lakeshore Sport & Fitness in Chicago is seeking a part-time Club48 Team Member to support our mission of providing a fun, interactive space for pre-teens to explore, connect, and thrive.

As a helper, you'll welcome participants, supervise activities across zones, reinforce rules, and collaborate with counselors to plan events, with shifts 5–10 hours weekly on a schedule that fits around after-school and weekend hours, including promoting healthy choices and guiding food orders at 1320 Market.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or pre-teens in recreational, camp, or educational settings.
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and confident managing small groups.
• Ability to balance structure and freedom that pre-teens need.
• Able to enforce program rules while keeping the fun.
• Good communication with both children and adults.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus or willingness to obtain it.
• Available for weekday (3–6PM) and/or weekend (12–4PM) shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and checking in Club48 participants at The Igloo hub.
• Supervising and facilitating activities in Game Room, Rooftop, Basketball Court, Yoga Studio.
• Encouraging positive peer interactions, teamwork, and creativity.
• Enforcing tech-use policies and guiding kids through tech-free play after 4:00PM.
• Leading games, group activities, and spontaneous fun to keep tweens engaged.
• Supporting behavior expectations and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.
• Collaborating with fellow counselors and management to plan special events.
• Distributing and tracking Club48 tickets earned through participation.
• Promoting healthy choices, including guiding kids through food ordering from 1320 Market.

Your Game Plan – Club48 Team Member

As a Part-Time Club48 Team Member you’ll play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide pre-teens with a fun, interactive space where they can explore, connect, and thrive.

Time Commitment

5–10 hours per week, flexible on days.

Your Role on the Team
