Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors in the Parker area to cultivate curiosity in kids through hands-on cooking classes. Classes run weekdays 2-5 PM; instructors lead 1-hour sessions with 90+ minute on-campus options, and training is provided.

Ideal candidates have experience with children, are reliable, and can manage groups of 8-14 while transporting materials and arriving early. ServSafe certification is a plus, and a valid vehicle is required.

Qualifications

• Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids.
• Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to class time.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willingness to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on cooking classes for kids, teaching chopping, mixing, measuring, and healthy recipes.
• Spark creativity by introducing new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures.
• Stay organized by preparing for classes, shopping for ingredients, and setting up safe kitchen environments.
• Be the face of fun, inspiring kids and helping them gain kitchen confidence.

Sticky Fingers Cooking is looking for enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors in the Parker area to help us Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids!

If you're passionate about cooking, have experience working with kids, and are looking for a fun, flexible, and meaningful part-time job, we want to meet you! Applications will be accepted until October 22nd.

What You'll Do

• Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.

• Stay Organized: Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.

Who You Are

• Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Thursdays.
• Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids. Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.

  • Accrued Leave: Up to 48 hours of paid leave per year, for use of a variety of health- and safety-purposes, which employees \"earn\" at a rate of 1 hour of leave for 30 hours worked.

A Day in the Life

As a Sticky Fingers Cooking instructor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring \"the kitchen\" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
