Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking Phoenix Inc. is seeking a part-time Chef Teacher to lead hands-on cooking classes for kids in Gilbert, AZ. Classes occur Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00–5:00 PM, with each session lasting six weeks.

You will bring energy, teach recipes, and support safe, engaging learning experiences for students aged 5–14. You will shop for ingredients, prep classrooms, and coordinate with our Admin Team.

Qualifications

Are You Ready to TURNIP the BEET on What Kids Eat®?

Sticky Fingers Cooking is looking for an enthusiastic part-time Chef Teacher to bring hands-on cooking classes to kids with Gilbert Public Schools.

What You'll Do

You’ll teach fun, one-hour cooking classes for kids ages 5–14 using our recipes and curriculum. Every class introduces new ingredients, cooking techniques, nutrition, and cultures from around the world while building confidence in the kitchen.

We’ll provide the training, recipes, equipment, and support. You bring the energy.

You’ll also shop for class ingredients, prepare your classroom, communicate with our Admin Team by phone and text, and help create a safe, engaging experience for every student.

Schedule

Classes are currently held Mondays and Wednesdays between 2:00–5:00 PM. You’ll teach 1hr afternoon classes weekly and commit to full sessions lasting 6–weeks.

While each class is one hour, expect to spend about 1.5 hours on campus for setup and cleanup. You’ll also arrive about 20 minutes before class (varies by school).

This is a temporary position with the potential for year-round part-time employment based on performance and business needs.

What We’re Looking For

You have experience teaching or coaching kids, are reliable and punctual, and enjoy creating a fun learning environment. You’ll need reliable transportation, be able to lift up to 30 pounds, and have (or be willing to obtain) a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate and an Arizona Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
