Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Child Care Site Manager for the Pottstown location to lead before/after school enrichment. This full-time role oversees curriculum, staff, and daily operations at the Pottstown YMCA site.

You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, coordinate with families, and ensure safety and quality learning experiences for children during the school year.

Qualifications

• 2+ years verified child care experience (2500 hours).
• A degree in education or human services related field from an accredited college or university.
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
• Able to pass all relevant clearances and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn, while maintaining control of environments that build children’s self esteem.
• Plan and implement curriculum for program; ensuring child centered and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Conduct and record weekly child observations and address behavior concerns with parents/guardians
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with parents/guardians while maintaining confidentiality
• Maintain daily attendance records, emergency contact binders, and allergy reports on time
• Ensure centers are stocked with quality learning materials and organized learning centers
• Attend team-planning meetings monthly or more as needed
• Campaign for the Annual Campaign and develop donors and volunteers
• Supervise all staff on site
