Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating programs in a school setting.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily Fun & Friends programming, including enrichment activities and recreational play.
• Ensure a structured yet flexible environment that meets the needs of all children.
• Maintain consistent routines, including attendance tracking and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging program culture.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
• Build positive relationships with children and foster social-emotional growth.
• Implement positive behavior strategies aligned with program expectations.
• Address, document, and communicate behavior concerns appropriately.
• Supervise, schedule, and support Fun & Friends staff.
• Provide guidance, training, and ongoing feedback to team members.
• Ensure staff follow district policies, program guidelines, and licensing requirements.
• Lead team meetings and promote strong communication among staff.
• Serve as the main contact for parents/guardians regarding program information and concerns.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families on a daily basis.
• Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and administration to support student success.
• Ensure program compliance with Minnesota childcare licensing requirements and district policies.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and staff documentation.
• Manage program supplies, snacks, and materials.
• Follow and implement safety procedures, including emergency preparedness and drills.
• Follow all emergency procedures, health guidelines, and supervision ratios.
• Administer first aid as trained and document incidents appropriately.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and spaces are clean, safe, and organized.
