Job summary

Wizards of Chess in Bloomington, MN seeks an After School Chess Coach to inspire young minds through chess fundamentals and fun, after-school sessions.

You will plan age-appropriate lessons, monitor progress, and foster a positive classroom environment while maintaining safety and encouraging participation. Prior coaching or tutoring experience is preferred; background checks will be conducted. Join a team dedicated to building critical thinking through chess.

Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge of chess rules, tactics, and strategy.
• Prior experience working with children in a coaching, tutoring, or educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Requirements:

• Ability to pass a background check
