Job summary

Vaughn Next Century Learning Center is seeking a Cheer Specialist to lead after-school cheer activities for students. You will develop lessons, teach motions, jumps, stunts, and chants while fostering teamwork and confidence in a safe setting.

Responsibilities include warm-ups, drills, and coordinating with staff and parents. The role runs year-round across programs, with part-time, non-exempt status and a focus on PBIS practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA or higher in education/kinesiology preferred or tested knowledge.
• At least 1 year cheerleading/dance/gymnastics experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school and weekend cheer/dance activities with coordinators.
• Develop lessons on motions, jumps, stunts, and chants.
• Ensure safety and proper technique during activities.
• Warm-ups, drills, and routines for varied student levels.
• Promote teamwork, confidence and leadership through cheer.
• Supervise students and communicate progress to parents.
